Privatweingut von Pierre Lurton
- Direktor von Chateau Cheval Blanc und d'Yquem.
- Notizen des Weinguts: The nose immediately reveals its aromatic, floral and fruity finery, sometimes ripe and sour cherry, sometimes purple. The nose is intense, exuberant, but remains fresh. The colour is an intense black. On the palate, the attack is fresh and juicy, the tannins, although very present, are already of a silky texture. The texture is creamy, the aromatic palette validates the nose but also reveals touches of citrus fruits and bitter orange. The Cabernet wines come to play their part on the finish, they bring an impetus, a tension that makes us say that 2023 will be a vintage to follow.
- JAMES SUCKLING: A fruit-forward and chocolaty Bordeaux with red berries and raw cocoa on the nose, following through to a medium body with rustic tannins. Lean at the center, but with fleshy fruit in the finish.
- VINOUS Antonio Galloni: The 2023 Marjosse is delicate, precise and nicely lifted. Floral aromatics lift a core of dark red cherryplum fruit, cedar, tobacco and dried herbs. I cant think of too many wines from anywhere in the world that can match Marjosse when it comes to providing pure pleasure and value. 2024-2030. Bewertungen für ältere Jahrgänge:
- 93 Punkte, JANE ANSON, Inside Bordeaux: Ruby plum colour, this has structure and gentle tannins, appealingly succulent raspberry and blackberry fruits, with waves of sage and cofee bean alongside. Good quality, should be good value, and is one to look out for. Pierre Lurton's home estate. 2023-2030
- 92-93 Punkte James Suckling: A really delicious Bordeaux with lovely silky tannins that are well-integrated. Blackcurrant and orange peel with some stone undertones. Its friendly and delicious already.
- 90 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: The 2022 Marjosse is fabulous. Rich and sumptuous to the core, the 2022 offers up copious blue and black fruit, lavender, spice, licorice and a kick of spice. This extroverted, juicy red delivers the goods. 2025-2037
