100 Pinot Noir aus dem 15 ha Bendigo Estate Vineyard, biodynamischer Weinbau nach Demeter, der Pionierweinberg von Central Otagos Subregion Bendigo. Planzdichte 3500-5000 pro ha, 1998 angelegter Weinberg, Nordhang auf 217 bis 264 m Seehöhe . Das größte Quartzvorkommen Neuseelands befindet sich unter diesem Weinberg. Boden: trockener Lehm, Kiesel und Quartz. Am 17., 18. und 21. März wurde von Hand geerntet. Bis zu 7 Tage lang wurde kalt eingeweicht, bevor die natürliche Hefegärung einsetzte. Der Tresterhut wurde jeden Tag sanft von Hand untergerührt. Insgesamt verbrachte der Wein 21-26 Tage auf den Schalen. Er wurde direkt in ausgewählte französische Eichenbarriques (27 neu) gefüllt, wo er 12 Monate lang reifte und eine natürliche malolaktische Gärung durchlief. 14,0 vol.

Bright ruby in the glass with aromas of dark cherry and plum fruits veiled with hints of exotic spice, crushed schist, wildflowers, thyme, fennel tops, dried shiitake, dried meats and earth. Purely fruited with a dry, savoury travel across the palate, powdered by a fine, mineral-laden acidity and fine, powdered, schisty tannins. The finish shows abundant energy, complexity and regional verve. 2026-2041.

- 9-9,5 Punkte VINOGRAPHY, Alder Yarrow: Light to medium garnet in color, this wine smells of bright, floral sour cherry aromas. In the mouth, the wine is juicy and ethereal with great acidity and cloud-like tannins that eventually settle on the palate and firm up. Flavors of raspberry, sour cherry, and redcurrant are mouthwatering, with hints of sweet oak lingering with flowers and dried herbs in the finish.
